St. George with the Family

 We stayed at a house in St. George at Desert Color Resort with all our kids and even our cute grand baby, Finn. We were so bummed the Lagoon closed for maintenance the day we got there, but still had lots of fun together! We swam, went to a water park, went paddle boarding at Sand Hallow, played games and pickleball of course (Heather rocks at pickleball), we loved having everyone together! My big kids left Friday and Rebecca, Vincent, Michael and my mom joined us for the rest of our stay. My dad came up and stayed in a hotel for a couple nights as well. My parents, Rebecca, Michael and I went to my Aunt Chrystal's moms funeral Saturday morning. I’m bummed I didn’t get pics. with my siblings. It was wonderful spending the week with our loved ones.

We took the family to the waterpark to make up for the lagoon.

Grandma watched Finn for a little bit at the waterpark.

Sand Hallow

While in St. George one evening me, Danny, Van, Walt, Clark and Jane went to Sand Hallow.

The 3 boys swam out to far away bowie.

Danny paddle boarded out to them to be sure they were okay.

Jane floated on her tub.

We enjoyed the beauty of Sand Hallow and sunset.

Then Jane and I got to paddle board.

Family

 I had my whole family in the same house for 5 days in St. George.

Coolest Story

Van on same HXP trip as Walt in 2023 met Edwardo/Edward

In 2023 Van went to @hxp.drlacienaga and met Edwardo/Edward. He connected with him so much that he invited him on their weekend excursion (which I’ve been told it hasn’t ever happened, not before or after Van). When he came home he said the hardest to say goodbye to was Edwardo. Walt also met Edward on his trip with @hxp.drlacienaga this year. Even though they both went to the same location I wasn’t sure he’d get to meet Edwardo. They go to different schools in the city. Walt said, when the leaders told Edward that he was Van’s brother his eyes lit up and he got a big smile on his face. He jokingly called Walt, Van the rest of the time. Now we all want to go meet Edwardo/Edward. I think it’s amazing that you can connect so quickly and so strongly with someone even if you don’t speak the same language. The connections between the locals, the leaders and their group on these trips in such a short amount of time is so amazing to see.

Walt on HXP trip in Dominican Republic

Walt shared with us a really amazing spiritual experience he had. He was talking with his leader and telling him he's 50/50 about a mission. After his leader shared some mission experiences and his testimony. Walt felt the spirit so strong, he knows he wants to serve a mission now.

He also told us how grateful he was for us and that we are truly the best.

 It's so amazing seeing how much they grow in such a short amount of time.
